Randie Personal Learning Goals

Hello! My name is Randie Parrish and I am a current UVU secondary education student. This site is purely dedicated to my learning goals using the ISTE standards. Each page will be dedicated to a different standard and then my goal for that standard.

A little bit about me, I have 3 kiddos, ages 15, 12, and 10. I reside in Utah County, UT. I currently am working at an elementary school. I’m an instructional technician and I work with the 1st grade team. I love my job and am working on completing my schooling to be a secondary education teacher so that I can one day have my own classroom! I’m majoring in Social Studies. History has always had a big soft spot in my heart. I think that there is a lot that we can learn from history and there is a lot to learn and grow on.

In my free time I enjoy reading, going hiking, traveling, and riding four wheelers. Me and my boyfriend love going to the sand dunes at Sand Mountain and by little Sahara and we recently have been venturing all over mountain trails also with our four wheelers.

I grew up in Herriman, UT. If you know where that is you know that it has changed SO much and it has grown so much. Sometimes I miss living there but for the most part I like living in a more secluded area that isn’t so busy and isn’t as chaotic.
